As a club committed to growing opportunities for women and girls in football, we are incredibly fortunate to have the support of a respected local business that shares our values of development, inclusion and community engagement.

The Blue Sky Day Nursery logo will feature proudly on our training kit, supporting players and coaches throughout the season both on and off the pitch. Their sponsorship will help the club continue to provide a positive, welcoming environment where players can develop, compete and enjoy the game.

 

Blue Sky Day Nursery is a family-owned and run childcare business, established in 2005. We provide high-quality, nurturing childcare and early years education for children from just a few weeks old through to starting school, with a strong focus on helping every child grow in confidence, independence and curiosity.

Our philosophy is simple: “We promise to care for your child as we would our own.” This sits at the heart of everything we do. We understand how important it is for families to feel confident that their children are safe, happy, cared for and given the best possible start in life.

Today, Blue Sky operates across three settings in East Yorkshire:

 

Our Pocklington setting opened in 2021 and has become an important part of the Blue Sky family, providing high-quality childcare for families across Pocklington and the surrounding area. The setting offers a welcoming and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to develop their independence, confidence and curiosity through a wide range of play and learning experiences. With a strong focus on individual development and close partnerships with parents and carers, the team works to ensure every child feels safe, valued and supported.

 

For us, we believe it is the people and the community.

We are proud to be a local, family-run business that has grown alongside the communities we serve. Many of the children who have come through our doors have gone on to become confident young people, and we love being able to play a small part in those early years. We have even had children returned to us as staff, and have had ex-staff sent their children/grandchildren to us despite having moved onto other opportunities.

We believe that children thrive when they are given opportunities to play, explore, be active, try new things and develop their own interests. Our settings provide safe, stimulating environments where children can learn through play while being supported by caring and passionate early years professionals.

We also believe that being a local business means being part of the wider community and not simply operating within it.

We are delighted to support a local women’s football club because it represents so many of the values at the heart of Blue Sky Day Nursery; supporting our community, empowering women, encouraging active and healthy lifestyles, and inspiring the next generation to believe in what they can achieve.

As a local, family-run business, Blue Sky has been part of our communities for more than 20 years, and we believe in giving back to the families and communities that have supported us.

Sponsoring a local grassroots Women’s Football Club allows us to invest directly in our community and support the players, coaches, volunteers and families who make local sport possible.

Women are at the heart of Blue Sky, with our business being proudly women-led and supported by a predominantly female workforce. We believe women and girls should feel confident, valued and empowered to participate, lead, dream and succeed, whether that is on the football pitch, in the workplace or in any area of life.

We believe strongly in the importance of being active and developing healthy lifestyles from an early age.

The success of the England Lionesses has inspired a women and girls, including some of our own team members, to see football as something they can be part of.

Seeing women playing football, competing, leading and achieving can show young girls that there are no limits to what they can aspire to.
